The Lake Tahoe area has always been famous for it’s ski and snowboard resorts, casino action and nightlife, and of course its crystal clear waters. Due to it’s proximity to the San Francisco Bay Area, as well Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley (areas well know for their culinary excellence and diversity), Lake Tahoe restaurants have always been able to offer visitors a level of dining matching the best restaurants in California and Nevada. Many North Lake Tahoe Hotels offer fantastic “in-house” dining opportunities, so you don’t even have to get in the car after skiing or golfing to enjoy a memorable meal.
Restaurants such as Manzanita at the Ritz Carlton at Northstar (in Truckee), helmed by world famous chef Traci Des Jardins (of Top Chef Masters fame) continue to raise the bar for fine dining in Lake Tahoe.
